Marmalade Overview / History
The Marmalade Historic District / Marmalade Hills area is one of Salt Lake's oldest areas. Located to the north of downtown Salt Lake City this area was originally named after the fruit trees which lined its streets. It also accounts for the names of the streets, such as Almond St., Apricot St., Apricot Ave and Quince St.
While there are no exact bounds, the core district is roughly contained within 200 N to the south, 500 N to north, Quince St to the west, and Columbus St to the east.
Today the district is one of Salt Lake's most trendy areas, featuring early architecture and historic homes.
