Herriman City

Herriman City is situated in the south west part of the valley, just south of South Jordan, and west of Riverton. Established in 1849 the area was originally the site of the Butterfield Settlement and then the site of Fort Herriman. Herriman was incorporated in 1999 and since then it has experienced dramatic growth. The population has grown from 1,523 in 2000 to 21,785 in 2010 to an estimated 35,385 in 2016.

Today Herriman is one of the fastest growing cities in the Salt Lake Valley, with many new home developments, including the Herriman Town Center project. This master planned community when complete will cover 370 acre, have 2000 homes, 10 acres of parks and many amenities.
