One of the ways that your Realtor will market your home is by placing a for sale sign outside you house. The main purpose of the sign to attract people who are driving your neighborhood looking to listings. In addition to this it also makes your home easier for other Realtors / home buyers to find.

The sign will advertise the brokerage / listing agent and contains a contact telephone number (and sometimes a website). One thing to make sure is that the contact telephone number is answered by a person rather than just a recorded message. After all a recorded message cannot address any specific questions that a perspective buyer may have.
