2nd Quarter 2012 Housing Market Update
For the first time in a long time the median home price for a Salt Lake County home actually increased in the second quarter 2012. The median home price for a single family home stood at $212,500, an increase of 4.94% over last years second quarter price. Driven by strong home sales (up 13.94%), Salt Lake Homes were in demand, with most zip codes returning median home price increases. A total of 25 zip codes saw their median home price increase, while just 5 zip codes went down. The best performing area was Holladay where both zip codes returned sizeable increases with 84117 going up 30% and 84124 going up 15.95%.
Salt Lake Condos also experienced median price increases, increasing 3.85% to $135,000.
